🎉 Calling All Creatives, Performers & Community Champions! It's CARNIVAL!

We're calling on performers, artists, wellness practitioners, community groups, food vendors, workshop facilitators, and volunteers to contribute to this high-impact day, an event that aims to uplift over 1,000 community members through culture, creativity, and mental well-being.

Why Get Involved?

Since its inception in 2021, the Community Carnival has grown into one of Medway’s most dynamic grassroots festivals, offering free, family-friendly activities rooted in inclusion and empowerment. This year’s theme centres on "Promoting Social Connection and Well-being", and we’re expanding our offering with even more hands-on workshops, cultural showcases, and safe spaces for support.

By joining us, you’ll play a direct role in fostering hope, joy, and belonging, particularly crucial at a time when mental health challenges and social isolation are affecting communities nationwide. Together, we can create a lasting legacy of resilience and pride in Medway.

What We’re Looking For:

🎶 Performers & Musicians – Bring rhythm and energy to our stage with live music, drumming, dance, or spoken word. Carnival styles, multicultural fusion, or wellness-inspired acts are all welcome.

🎨 Workshop Leaders – Facilitate art, dance, music, or craft activities that spark creativity and self-expression. From carnival headdresses to flag-making and drumming circles, your talent can help build confidence and joy.

🤝 Well-being Practitioners – Join our team of mental health advocates to provide support or lead calming and mood-boosting sessions like meditation, art therapy, or mindful movement.

🍲 Food Vendors – Showcase the richness of cultural cuisine while creating connections through food. We're especially seeking global flavours and local fare that reflect Medway’s diversity.

🧠 Health Partners & Charities – Help us create safe spaces for emotional support and raise awareness through interactive, stigma-free engagement.

🎉 Volunteers – From helping with set-up to welcoming guests or supporting children’s activities, volunteers are the heart of this community-driven event.
