Workshop Description

Future Inventors Workshop Invent revolutionary devices for the future alongside award-winning author Patience Agbabi. Book Spotlight: The Infinite (CBBC Book of the Month) Inspired by Patience's creative vision of the future participants will design and craft their own futuristic inventions! Drawing from current technologies, children will imagine revolutionary devices that could: ♻ Combat climate change 🌍 Solve global challenges ✨ Make everyday life more magical Patience will share her inspiration behind the futuristic world of 2048 and guide children through the invention process. Past workshops have yielded incredible creations, from diplomatic devices enabling world peace to whimsical Willy Wonka-style contraptions! 10:30 am - Drop off. 10:30 am - 10:45 am - Ice-breaker activities. 10:45 am - 12:00 pm - Futurist literature class with crafting and junk modelling inventions. 12:00 pm - 12:30 pm - Lunch. 12:30 pm - Collection.
